1 kind of ability is what you know. These knowledges are the Chunks of data that you collect when you learn that a field or action. If you understand webpage design principles or have memorized a recipe or designed a car engineer learned how to write a persuasive story, you have a body of knowledge on mind about that task. But understanding a recipe does not mean you can design a car engine, so knowledges are often rooted in that stadium. They are not very transferable. Luckily, you've got another set of skills, skills which are transferable between different situations. If you're proficient at designing pages, you'd probably also be good at designing a magazine. But transferable abilities work on things out people, not ourselves, so there's another sort of ability which you use to handle yourself. And we often call these skills traits. Think of how good you're at getting to appointments on time or completing tasks or controlling your anger. These are abilities. And each of us is good at a few and not as good in other words as we'd like. So, your knowledges, your transferable skills, along with your traits.

Now, you probably don't know it, but when you learn you are growing Three types of skills. And the better you understand how those skills work, the greater a learner you'll be. Now, let's say you wish to understand how to design webpages. You must understand design principles and probably also know mark-up languages such as HTML and CSS. You'd need to practice designing and problem solving and maybe drawing. And you'd have to be organized and learn the way to finish jobs. Now, thanks to the work of a guy called Sidney Fine way backing the mid-20th century, we all know each of those groupings is not the same sort of skill.

Will this learning opportunity help you to improve your Ability to finish tasks or to collaborate with others or to set a high bar for the own work? How are you going to continue to improve as a human being you can be your very best self? So, now you're armed with an understanding that few people have, in place of the limited approach of standard education which typically focuses only on knowledges. You're permitted to look at all three types of your abilities when you learn. Instead of just getting a chunk of information in mind, you can focus on developing all three Types of abilities as you move along your learning trip


When you understand, you develop at least one of them. Suppose You wanted to understand how to take apart a watch. The knowledge is how a watch is designed and how components fit together. The transferable skills are abilities like Together with your hands and attending to detail. Along with the traits are skills like focus and patience. So, from now on, when you look at a course you want to shoot or a Textbook you would like to read or even a training session, attempt to break the learning Aims into these three categories. What new knowledge will you gain? The sniff Test here is what will you learn that's rooted or anchored into a field or an arena? Second, what transferable skills can you learn? How can you get better at skills Which can be used in a range of scenarios? The test this is if the ability ends in I-N-Gaskill's like analysing, socialising, designing, even studying itself. And what traits are you going to continue to develop?
